Just like any modern American town, Sturgis has its fair share of gas stations and convenience stores.
If you are traveling through on Interstate 90, there are several options at either Exit 30 or Exit 32, within a stones throw of the I-90 on and off ramps. On the south side of Sturgis, near Exit 32 there is a Big D station to the south of I-90, and a Common Cents / Exxon station just to the north of the exits. A bit further into town to the north, there is a Kwik Mart across Junction Ave from Sturgis Regional Hospital.
There is a slightly more diverse offering, including 4 fuel stations and multiple fast food selections, near Exit 30 on the western edge of town. To the west of I-90, on the way to Deadwood, there is a Fresh Start Convenience Store directly off the interstate, right next to Burger King, and a Bj’s Country Store a block further west across Lazelle Street / Boulder Canyon Highway from a strip mall with multiple food options.
To the east of I-90 near Exit 30, as you travel further into Sturgis, there is a Fresh Start Convenience Store across Lazelle Street from McDonalds, and a Cenex station slightly further into town, near the Shopko and Indian Motorcycles dealership. This Cenex station typically carries fuels with high concentrations of ethanol, such as E-85.
Downtown Sturgis, at the corner of the main thoroughfares Junction Ave and Lazelle St, there is a Phillips 66 station. A few blocks south of this on Junction Ave, Jacobs Auto Repair sells high octane fuel at one of their few pumps.
